Applies to artisan jobs, milestones, and bookings
If you cancel a job before the artisan has started work, you will receive a full refund of the escrow amount minus any payment processing fees charged to us by our payment provider. Cancellations at this stage can be completed from your job dashboard or by emailing support.
Once the artisan has started work or submitted a milestone, you cannot cancel the job unilaterally. If you are unhappy with the work, raise a dispute within 7 days of the milestone submission. Our dispute team will review the case and decide on fund allocation based on the evidence provided.
Once escrow funds have been released to an artisan (either by your approval or auto-release), cancellation is no longer possible. You may raise a complaint with our support team, but released funds are subject to our dispute resolution process, not an automatic refund.
If an artisan cancels a job they have accepted, the full escrow amount is refunded to the client with no deductions. Artisans who repeatedly cancel accepted jobs risk suspension from the platform.
If an artisan cancels due to an emergency or force majeure, they must notify the client and OgaLanLord support within 24 hours. We will assist both parties in rescheduling or finding an alternative professional.
For jobs with multiple milestones, cancellation rules apply per milestone. If a client cancels after approving some milestones, only the remaining unfunded milestones are refundable. Already-released milestone payments are not reversed.
Clients have a dispute window of 7 days per milestone. If no action is taken within this window, the milestone funds are automatically released to the artisan and are no longer refundable.
For simple bookings (not escrow-protected jobs), no money is collected by OgaLanLord upfront. Cancelling a booking simply removes the scheduling request. Any payment made directly to an artisan outside the platform is not governed by this policy.
Platform service fees are non-refundable once a job has been created and the artisan has accepted it. If the job is cancelled before the artisan accepts, any platform fee charged is refunded in full.
If OgaLanLord cancels a job due to a violation of our Terms of Service by either party (fraud, misrepresentation, abuse), the innocent party will receive a full refund of any escrowed funds. The platform service fee may be withheld to cover investigation costs.
