1. About OgaLanLord
OgaLanLord is a Nigerian property and services marketplace operated by Ogalanlord Inc., a subsidiary of FixIT Services, a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We connect property owners and agents with property seekers, and clients with skilled artisans and service professionals across Nigeria. We also operate an escrow service that holds and releases client payments for artisan jobs conducted on this platform. We are not a money transmitter. All funds movement through our escrow is tied to a specific, verified service transaction between identified users on this platform.
2. What Customers Pay For
Payments on OgaLanLord are made exclusively for artisan and skilled-trades services contracted through our platform. When a client creates a job, they fund an escrow account for that specific job. The escrow funds are held until the client approves the completed work or our dispute team makes a determination. We deduct a platform service fee from escrow releases. We do not collect payments on behalf of landlords or agents. Property rent, deposits, and agent fees are paid directly between tenants and property owners outside of our platform.
3. Eligibility
- •You must be at least 18 years old to use OgaLanLord.
- •You must be capable of forming a legally binding contract under Nigerian law.
- •You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.
- •One person may not maintain multiple accounts. Duplicate accounts may be suspended.
- •Use of the platform by minors, even with parental consent, is prohibited.
4. Account Registration and Security
- •You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- •Notify us immediately at support@ogalanlord.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- •You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- •We offer Google sign-in as a convenience. Using it is subject to both these Terms and Google's Terms of Service.
- •We may require email verification before granting full access to platform features.
- •We reserve the right to suspend accounts where we suspect fraudulent or abusive activity.
5. Property Listings
- •You must own or have legal authority to advertise any property you list.
- •All listing information must be accurate, current, and not misleading.
- •Photos must represent the actual property. Stock images or photos of other properties are prohibited.
- •Pricing must be stated clearly in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
- •Listings are subject to manual review before being made public.
- •Verification of a listing means we have reviewed submitted documents and conducted basic checks. It is not our endorsement of the property.
- •OgaLanLord does not collect or hold any payments for property transactions. All rent and deposit payments are made directly between tenants and landlords.
- •We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or applicable law.
6. Artisan and Service Listings
- •Artisan profiles must accurately reflect your skills, experience, and availability.
- •You must be legally permitted to provide the services you advertise in Nigeria.
- •Rates must be stated clearly and honoured when you accept a booking or job.
- •You are responsible for the quality and completion of services you agree to provide.
- •OgaLanLord is not a party to the service agreement between a client and an artisan. We facilitate the transaction.
7. Escrow and Payments
Our escrow service holds client funds for the duration of an artisan job. Funds are released to the artisan only upon client approval of completed work or upon a determination by our dispute team. This is not a general payment service or money transmission service. Every naira held in escrow is linked to a specific job between identified users on this platform.
- •Platform fees are deducted from escrow releases as disclosed at job creation.
- •Milestone-based jobs release funds per milestone upon client approval.
- •If a client does not approve or dispute a milestone within the auto-release window, funds are automatically released to the artisan.
- •Disputes must be raised within 7 days of milestone submission. Our dispute team's determination is final.
- •Refunds of released escrow funds are not guaranteed and are subject to our dispute resolution process.
- •All payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store card details.
- •We do not receive or hold payments for any purpose other than facilitating artisan service transactions on this platform.
8. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on OgaLanLord:
- •Posting fraudulent, misleading, or fictitious property or artisan listings.
- •Collecting payments from users outside the platform to bypass escrow protections.
- •Impersonating another person, business, or OgaLanLord staff.
- •Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users.
- •Scraping or extracting data from the platform without written permission.
- •Attempting to circumvent security measures, authentication, or access controls.
- •Using the platform to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity.
- •Posting content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates third-party intellectual property rights.
- •Creating accounts for the purpose of posting fake reviews.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension, removal of content, and referral to Nigerian law enforcement where appropriate.
9. Reviews and Ratings
- •Reviews must be honest and based on genuine first-hand experience.
- •Reviews must not contain personal attacks, discriminatory language, or false statements of fact.
- •You may only review an artisan or property once.
- •We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
- •Attempting to manipulate ratings by incentivising reviews, creating fake accounts, or pressuring users will result in account suspension.
10. Refunds and Cancellations

In summary: escrow funds are refundable before work begins; once work has started, refunds are handled through our dispute process; platform fees are non-refundable.
11. Intellectual Property
OgaLanLord and its logos, design, and technology are the intellectual property of Ogalanlord Inc. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute content you post on the platform (listings, photos, reviews) solely for the purpose of operating the platform. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you own or have the right to post any content you submit.
12. Platform Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or suspend the platform for security or operational reasons at any time. We are not liable for losses resulting from platform unavailability.
13. Limitation of Liability
- •OgaLanLord provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- •We are not liable for property condition, title, or any representations made by landlords or agents.
- •We are not liable for the quality, safety, or completion of services provided by artisans.
- •We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, except where prohibited by Nigerian law.
- •Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the fees you paid to OgaLanLord in the 12 months preceding the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ogalanlord Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your listings or artisan profiles, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
15. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@ogalanlord.com. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Sections 11, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the platform shall be resolved by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. You waive any objection to the jurisdiction or venue of such courts.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of OgaLanLord after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform before the effective date.
